  • H12 Riot Basket: By default, the Riotlance uses a more traditional magazine, but after a series of violent riots in eastern Japan, where police were forced to retreat after running out of ammo, Saxe-Deimling had to find a solution. The H12 Riot Basket therefore utilizes a helical distribution of the weapon's flechettes, allowing more ammunition without increasing the size of the regular magazine.

  • Improved Aerodynamics: Replacing the traditional fin-stabilized flechettes with a stack of thin aerodynamic arrow shapes, the damage caused by the Riotlance munitions is greatly increased. A side-effect of the needle-sharp arrow shapes is that the impact is almost imperceptible for the human nervous system. It's possible for a target to be completely unaware even of lethal injuries sustained from these diminutive projectiles.

  • Multi Loader: The multi-loader was a nifty little invention of one of Saxe-Deimling's technical engineers. Decreasing the thickness between chamber slots he was able to add an additional slot, allowing for a slightly increased burst fire. Structural integrity remains high.

  • DUD Mode: The 'Desperate Unloading Device' was developed after a group of Agents overwhelmed police officers equipped with the Riot Lance. This attachment will allow to fire all remaining projectiles in the magazine in one go. An unexpected, but welcome, side effect was that, due to close proximity on impact, the rounds explode in a shower of metallic needles.

  • LB Mechanism: The aptly named Lighting Bolt mechanism is essentially a small batter which super charges projectiles as they leave the barrel. On impact the excess electrical charge will jump to additional enemies near the target.
